Corrections and contact
Email corrections@knowyourdaycare.com. We read every message and aim to reply within five business days. The records currently on the site were pulled from the state on Oct 20, 2026.
To report an error, include
- the page address on this site, or the daycare’s name and state permit number;
- what is wrong (for example a count, a date, or a violation that should not appear);
- where you saw the correct information, ideally the daycare’s record on Search Texas Child Care.
What happens next
- If we made an error — for example we miscounted, mislinked a record, or kept something the state has removed — we fix it, add a dated note to the page saying what we corrected, and tell you when it is live.
- If our page matches the state’s record, we leave it as it is. We do not remove accurate public records because a daycare or anyone else asks; the place to dispute a citation is with the state, through its administrative review process. We will remove or change a record if the state does, if the law requires it, or to protect a child’s identity or safety.
- If the state changes or removes a record (for example after a successful review), our page follows at the next update. If you tell us, we check it against the state record and update the page promptly, without waiting for the next update.
- Messages about a child’s identity or safety, or legal notices, are handled first. Please say so in the subject line. While we look into it, we may take the page offline temporarily.
Daycare operators
Everything on your page comes from your state record. If your record is wrong, the state’s Child Care Regulation office can correct it, and we will pick up the change. If our page differs from your state record, email us with your permit number and we will check it.
Other questions
